John DiBiasi, President of XL Excess & Surplus Lines, in his welcome noted the importance of leadership that Mark, Fred, Wayne and others have provided to the Excess & Surplus lines industry. John explained, "The Excess & Surplus lines business is fortunate to have Mark, Fred, Wayne and many others in our business who are willing to give of their personal time towards improving the Excess & Surplus lines industry. In the process there is much hard work but also many personal relationships that develop. The successes and sharing in "sweat equity" are what make our business so special."
Overall there were representatives from 24 broker firms who do business with XL Excess & Surplus Lines. The opportunity for education and friendship provided by the AAMGA through the University Weekend is clearly valued by many.
